Moreas Motorway: Probable maximum loss assessment

We were asked to conservatively estimate the annual PML of the highway taking into consideration the possible consequences of two major events taking place in the same 12-month period. This required the development of a two-step loss assessment approach to incorporate the damage results (caused by the first earthquake event) into an updated risk assessment module for the simulation of the subsequent event (be it an aftershock on the same seismogenic fault or rupture of a different seismic source).
