Preliminary analysis and Design of temporary retaining cofferdams in Hassyan Powerplant in Dubai. The performance of alternative solutions (with or without anchors) has been assessed. Analysis was performed utilizing finite elements
analysis in 2 dimensions, incorporating state-ofthe art constitutive laws for the modeling of soil behavior.
