Capital pools targeting new projects, particularly in developing economies, vary significantly in terms of requirements, constraints and objectives. Especially when in relation to projects with with no to limited tested technologies, a number of considerations are required to be addressed in order to unlock and deploy capital effectively. A large number of viable opportunities, including in particular projects that would add material value to the circular and sustainable economies, remain underfunded and delayed due to the lack of awareness and understanding of capital availability and of the process to reach it.
