We work closely with AI experts to find automated ways to detect damage and ageing effects in road infrastructure by combining multi-temporal, multi-sensor observations with computer vision and Machine Learning (ML). We can also claim significant experience in performing simulation-assisted ML for predicting the performance of critical infrastructure assets exposed to natural hazards, and we have devised in-house prediction algorithms in that respect.
Connecting infrastructure assets with advanced sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions can truly facilitate resilience decisions. That’s why our team partners with IT groups to build automated platforms that collect real-time data from sensors, monitoring earthquakes and environmental conditions, to assist emergency response plans and accelerate recovery operations in the aftermath of climate and natural disasters. We can help clients build bespoke monitoring solutions for infrastructure systems to monitor the gradual changes of climate (i.e., reflected in characteristic environmental indices), keep track of the progress of climate adaptation goals and effectively measure emissions.
